Vehicle Notice Search

Search public notices for abandoned, immobile, unattended, and recovered vehicles in Tennessee. This portal is the official public notice system under T.C.A. § 55-31-104.

How It Works

What is this portal?

This is Tennessee's official web-based portal for posting public notices about vehicles that have been abandoned, left immobile or unattended, or recovered by law enforcement. It replaces newspaper publication as the legal method of notice.

Who posts notices?

Law enforcement agencies, tow companies, and garagekeepers across Tennessee use this portal to post notices when they take custody of a vehicle. Each notice includes the vehicle details, location found, and where the vehicle is being stored.

What are my rights as an owner?

If your vehicle appears on this portal, you have the right to reclaim it by contacting the storage facility listed in the notice and paying all outstanding charges (towing, storage, and preservation fees).

How long do I have to reclaim my vehicle?

You have 20 days from the date the notice is posted on this portal to reclaim your vehicle. After that period, the vehicle may be sold at public auction or demolished, per T.C.A. § 55-31-302.
